Quenton has been a fitness professional and yoga instructor for 20 years. He is currently certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Quenton also holds certifications as a 200 hr. Vinyasa, and 100 hr. Traditional Hot (Bikram Sequence) yoga instructor.
Quenton discovered yoga while competing nationally and internationally in martial arts. As his journey began yoga just seemed to be a good way to improve flexibility and combat injury after strenuous training sessions, and it was. Eventually, his practice evolved and he began to experience deeper benefits. He learned how to control his breathing during matches and other strenuous events. He became more aware of his core and stabilizer muscles so that his balance improved. Perhaps the most important benefit Quenton took away from his mat was an ability to remain “comfortably uncomfortable”. This is a concept that translates into patience and calmness in his
day-to-day life as he navigates owning a business, raising a family and big city living.
